FoodFacts.com is a comprehensive source for food facts. What are you eating? Get the facts! Food Facts is your online nutritionist that allows you to track and monitor the food you eat. Register today.

What does FoodFacts.com offer?
Food Facts offers a Personal Nutritional Profile*, contents of many foods, allergy / avoidance lists*, menu planning*, weight control monitoring*, and nutritional details of all the items in our database.

How much does it cost to register?
You can have access to all of the features on FoodFacts.com for free.

Can I cancel at any time?
You are welcome to cancel your account at any time, however refunds will not be granted. Please contact us if you wish to cancel your account.

Does FoodFacts have secure ordering?
Yes, you will not have to worry when using your credit card on our web site. Our web site secures your private information using a GeoTrust SSL Certificate - click here to verify. Information exchanged with any address beginning with https is encrypted using SSL before transmission. Your credit card information will not be stored in our database.

Do you have barcode scanners available for purchase?
Yes. Please contact us for details.

Can I use FoodFacts.com without registering?
Yes, but you will only be able to view contents of many foods and their nutritional values. The other services are for registered users only.

Profile

How do I update my profile?
Only registered users have access to this. Once logged in, click on the "My Profile" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Click on "Edit Profile". When in the profile page, find the link under Profile Information that says "Update Personal Information". On the "Personal Information" page, please fill out your information. Remember, the more information you provide the more useful the site will be to you.

How do I change my password?
Once logged in, click on the "My Profile" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Click on "Edit Profile". When in the profile page, find the link under Account Information that says "Change Your Password".

What is a Personal Nutritional Profile?
The Personal Nutritional Profile helps you keep track of everything you eat. Vital information like, nutritional values, vitamin values, and a calorie breakdown for today and yesterday, and averages for this week, last week, this month, last month, this year, and last year are all available. All nutrients and vitamins are color coded to help you see if you are meeting your governmental daily requirements. If need be, you can change your recommended values to meet your individual health needs.

What is an Activity Log?
This log allows you to add in the activities that you do on any given day to help you track the calories you burn versus the calories you take in.

How do I set up my Activity Log?
After logging into your account, click on the "Activities" tab in the menu at the top of the page. You will be prompted to choose an activity category, the activity itself, the date of the activity, the duration of the activity, and finally your current weight. This will then calculate the expected calories you would burn from this kind of activity. You can continue to add activities to fill your entire day.

I cannot find what I did yesterday. Is there a way to view a previous day's activities?
Click on the link "View a different date" from the Activity Log page, find the date on the calendar that pops up and click on it. You will be redirected to the date that you chose from the calendar. Note that you will only be able to click on a date that you entered information for.

I made a mistake on one of my days, what can I do to fix it?
First you will need to choose the date that contains the error. Once you have chosen the date, you can choose to edit or delete a particular activity. If you click on edit, you will be given the opportunity to change the activity. If you choose delete, a small window will pop up to verify that you really wanted to delete the activity.

What is "Store Items for Easy Access"?
If you have a list of foods that you like to consume often, then you will like our menu section. It allows you to create a list of up to 150 items you consume frequently, categorized by breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Easily add these foods to your nutritional profile every time you consume them without having to search for them.

How do I add items to my breakfast, lunch and dinner menus?
Once logged in, click on the "Foods" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Under "Store Items for Easy Access" choose what meal that you want to update. Click on "Add an Item". You will then be prompted for the UPC or a description of the item so you can add it.

Can I change items in my menus?
Yes. If you click on an item's description in your menu planner, a small window pops up with a link that says "Change this item". It will allow you to search for a new item to replace the one you previously had in its place.

How do I set up the Weight Tracker?
Once logged in, click on the "My Profile" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Click on "Edit Profile". Under Profile Information, choose "Update Personal Information". Under "Home Page Customization", click on "yes" next to where it says "Watching your weight." Finally click on the continue button at the bottom of the page.

Once I set up my Weight Tracker, how do I use it?
Once logged in, click on the "Weight" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Choose the date, the time of day you weighed yourself, and how much you weighed. When you are finished, click on the "Record Weight" button.

How do I update the Allergies / Avoidance List?
Once logged in, click on the "My Profile" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Click on "Edit Profile". Under Profile Information, choose "Edit Food Avoidance Information". There you can add or remove ingredients that you want to avoid or are allergic to.

Can I add items that are not in your data base?
Yes. Once logged in, click on the "Foods" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Under "Custom Foods" click on "Add an Item". There you will be able to view items you have already entered and add more items that are not in our database by clicking on the "Add an Item" link.

How do I look for an item and its nutritional value without adding it to my Personal Nutritional Profile?
Once logged in, click on the "Foods" tab in the menu at the top of the page. Under "Search For Items" you can do a quick search by brand/description. Click on the "More Search Options" link and you will be able to search by category, brand/description, food content, UPC code, company, vitamin or even by nutritional value.
