Palm Olein
Palm Fruit Oil (PFO) from the spineless palm tree (Elaesis guineensis) Palm Fruit Olein is the light oil fraction from the pressing of the palm fruit, and is approximately 40% saturated and 60% unsaturated fat. Palm Olein is liquid and contains no tranisomerized fats which are found in hydrogenated oils. It is used in a variety of baking applications where a liquid oil is desired. It also has a wide acceptance as a deep fat frying oil due to its natural resistance to oxidation.
