Milk Low Fat
Milk with the fat reduced. Generally, this is done by a combination of removing fat and adding water. Reduced fat milk should not be given to children under 2. After the age of 2 years, there appears to be no adverse effects of limiting total and saturated fat intake to the US Dietary Guideline recommendations of no more than 30% of energy as fat, and no more than 10% of energy as saturated fat in children after age 2 in terms of normal growth and development and other parameters of nutrient status. At age 2 it appears perfectly safe to switch from the whole milk products needed for infants to lowfat (1% or skim) milk products
