Cottonseed Oil Liquid
Cottonseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the cotton plant (Gossypium hirsutum Linn). The cottonseed itself is very similar to other oilseeds such as sunflower seed, having an oil bearing kernel surrounded by a hard outer hull; in processing, the oil is extracted from the kernal. Cottonseed oil is used for salad oil, mayonnaise, salad dressing, and similar products because of its flavor stability. Cotton (oil) is also one of the big four (soy, corn, rapeseed/canola, and cotton) genetically modified crops grown around the world.
