Copper Gluconate
A common copper supplement, Copper plays a part in enzymes that consume oxygen. Needed for many chemical reactions related to energy and respiration. Copper is found in many foods including: Shellfish, Nuts, Seeds, Liver and other organ meats, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Bananas, and Potatoes. Deficiency is rare in Healthy adults. Symptoms are Anemia, decreased numbers of white blood cells, and osteoporois. Copper poisoning from supplements are unlikely. Accidental consumption by children or drinking contaminated water can result in stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, liver failure, and death.
